Re: abused personal details
It is definitely not unheard of for wagering sites to generate shady income by selling internal data to cover costs. This is a major reason why all bettors must take care in selecting quality companies that have a high level of integrity. In this case, I would be quite surprised if Casino Rewards was engaging in such a practice. The Casino Rewards Group of casinos and poker sites is easily the largest group in the whole industry. Their software provider is Microgaming and they aggressively pursue acquisitions of any weak Microgaming competitors. Microgaming holds their licensees to the most stringent industry accepted standards and simply would not allow Casino Rewards to operate in this manner.
You should be able to opt-out of the promotional emails and if you contact them to have you removed from the mailing list, I think they would be happy to oblige. Those promotional packages you are receiving in the mail are quite expensive. Interestingly, Casino Rewards provides significant value in terms of their bonus offerings. Some of their casinos offer more value than others but you must know where to go and how to take advantage of them. If you are interested, I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
My best guess would be that you are playing poker at a site that subscribes to the Prima Poker Network which is operated by Microgaming. Right now there are at least 50 sites that are members. Once you provide your details to one member of the network, all members have access to your personal data, but not your login data.
In my opinion there is virtually no chance that your account login data is being compromised. If you'd like me to speculate exactly how your details made it onto these mailing lists, send me a message to let me know which sites you are using and I will try to figure it out.
I'll devote an entire thread to it later, but these kinds of concerns are why it is so important to periodically change your passwords for any accounts of value. Profitable operators like Casino Rewards pose no threat to your login data, but rogue operators on the verge of collapse are prone to more desperate measures.<div style="font-size: xx-small;color: #0000ff;display: inline-block;text-align: center;width: 100%;">
